• those working the drive up window at KFC in Taylorsville on Friday at noon for great customer service.

• Columbus Parks and Recreation Department staff for cleaning the slippery mud off the trail under State Street every time Haw Creek floods.

• Scott, Joe, Andrea and Bethany for the great shredding day at the community of Fairington, from Fairington residents.

• Amy, Tom, Nancy, Kat, Dorothy, Karen and Adam for all your help with our golf classic bulk mailing this week and you all rock, from DSI.

• the Columbus City Garage for keeping our streets cleaned, trash dumped, debris piles picked up and everything else on top of that regardless of the weather.

• the VFW volunteers who did a wonderful job of the spaghetti dinner bingo several weeks ago for the bingo patrons as it was a great time and the dinner was fantastic.

• Amazing Joe’s for the wonderful lunch, from Mrs. Branaman’s third grade class.

• the state for not having a minimum wage of at least $15 per hour.

• Richards Elementary cafeteria staff for always smiling, being positive and fun as the kids love the theme days and the fun that comes with them, from a parent.

• people who don’t realize that your desired $15 minimum wage will cause everything to increase in price and it will soon be worth your current wage.

• minimum wage workers who want $15 an hour pay rate when they can’t do their work at the current minimum wage.

• the person who hit the cat on State Road 46.

• Columbus for being unwelcoming and cliquish to newcomers, as it is especially sad at some churches.

• people who fail to realize that raising the minimum wage only forces all companies to raise prices on goods and services to cover that cost increase.

• those who lay the Orchids on thick and couldn’t care less about the ones they say they do.

• the person who doesn’t understand economics and supports a $15 minimum wage.

• people who enjoy arguing and fighting.

• the young couple unloading boulders out of the big dump truck on Saturday morning.

• nurses who have not done bedside care in years yet come around and try tell you how to do your job.

• cat owners who let their cats out at night to mess in other people’s yards.
