Auditions for Mill Race Theatre Company’s summer presentation of the musical “Oliver!” will be May 14 at Judson Erne Auditorium, 1400 25th St. in Columbus.
- For children from kindergarten through eighth grade, audition time will be noon to 2:30 p.m.
- For high school freshmen and older, audition time will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The story focuses on a young boy who becomes an orphan after the death of his mom. He finds himself shuffled from place to place, getting exploited wherever possible. He eventually lands with with the wrong crowd — a gang of petty thieves — and finds trouble.
The nonprofit troupe will present the production, directed by Julie Hult, July 8 to 10.
