See modern neighborhoods on 2 wheels

Landmark Columbus and Healthy Communities are partnering to organize a bike ride to explore some of Columbus’ Mid-Century Modern neighborhoods and buildings while promoting an active lifestyle.

The bike ride is being billed as a casual, social ride that will move at a leisurely pace, departing from Library Plaza at 1:30 p.m. May 7 and ending at Powerhouse Brewing Co. about 90 minutes later.

This is the second year for the annual cycling event. Landmark Columbus hosted a bike ride last year that examined the 19th and early 20th century architecture around the downtown area.

Organizers are encouraging participants to dress in their favorite mid-century inspired fashions, but anyone is welcome to the ride, regardless of attire. The bike ride is free.
