Blanche L. Hendershot, 102, of Taylor Road, left this world with her family by her side at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Blanche was born March 22, 1914, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Webber Cleveland and Clara Goetz Snyder.

She lived her life in Bartholomew County and married Stanley Hendershot on April 11, 1952.

Blanche was a member of the Methodist church from the age of 13 and attended there until the last few years when she began attending both Flintwood Wesleyan Church and Shiloh Baptist Church.

A praise God service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Wes Jones, Lonnie Goens, Ed Mead, Larry McIntosh and Ancel Harden officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Flintwood Wesleyan Church or Shiloh Baptist Church through the funeral home.

Blanche was a devoted mother to her sons who survive, Richard L. (Joan) Lovelace and Charles E. (Janis) Lovelace both of Columbus. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Richelle L. (Glenn) Wakefield, Christopher “C.R.” (Kara) Lovelace and Kevin M. (Anne) Lovelace; great-grandchildren, Travis (Jessica) Wakefield, Jennifer (Austin Ashbrook) Wakefield, Drew Lovelace, Chase Lovelace, Kevin “K.C.” Lovelace, Kelsey Lovelace and Braxton Ison; and great-great-grandchildren, Sierra Wakefield and Morgan Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley on April 21, 1989; a sister, Alma Zigler; and a daughter-in-law, Cletah Lovelace.
