Beverly A. Mace, 75, of Columbus, passed from this life at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Mace was born June 11, 1940, in Columbus to Ralph and Violet Stockhover Hornback. She married William Mace Sept. 29, 1960. He preceded her in death in Jan. 1980.
Mrs. Mace was a homemaker and formerly attended Bethel Holiness Church. She loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed the outdoors, her garden and nature watching.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Donald) Warren of Martinsville, Christine Stephens of Columbus and William Mace of Columbus; brothers, Duwayne (Sylvina) Hornback of Columbus and Paul (Betty) Hornback of Edinburgh; sisters, Lana (Glen) Gearries, Sandra (Jim) Harrison, Joan (Wayne) Taulman and Marcia Hornback all of Columbus; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her companion, Ewing Eugene Roy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
