The American Red Cross is encouraging people to donate around the Memorial Day holiday by offering a Red Cross T-shirt to donors, while supplies last.
The organization relies on volunteer donors for the 14,000 blood donations needed every day to support patients at about 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide.
Red Cross blood donation opportunities include:
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St.
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 3 and 10, Columbus Blood Donation Center, 931 Repp Drive
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7, IUPUC, 4601 Central Ave.
