Olive I. Morton, 75, of Columbus, passed from this life at 9:28 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Morton retired from Cummins Engine Company after 33 years of service.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Jerry K. Day Sr. officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. to time of service Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Morton was born April 12, 1941, in Rushville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Kelly and Nettie Mynheir Davis.

She married James M. “Poochie” Morton Jan. 25, 1964. He preceded her in death Oct. 26, 2005.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony “Tony” (Diane) Morton of Indianapolis and Christopher (Natasha) Morton of Concord, North Carolina; brothers, Paul Davis of Rushville and Bill (Jay) Davis of Rushville; a sister, Carolyn Sue Easton of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Chelsea, Haley, Brittney and Courtney Morton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, James Davis, Kelly Davis Jr. and Irvin Davis; and sisters, Virginia Pickle, Mary Frances Smith, Joan Downs and Reola Smith.
