Olympians down Cougars

Austin Proffitt fired a 1-over-par 73 Tuesday to lead Columbus East to a 310-334 win against Bloomington North at Otter Creek.

Derek Alexander carded a 74 for the Olympians. Thomas Ruch added a 79, Mark Mayhew shot 84, Nathan Cesarski had an 87, Sam Thomasson finished with a a 92, Ryan Singer shot 95 and Avery Foist had a 102.

Brown County cruises

NASHVILLE — Parker VanNess shot a 1-under-par 70 to lead Brown County to an easy 326-401 victory against Morristown at Salt Creek.

Aubrey Seaman finished with a 78 for the Eagles, while Jake Dixon and Gavin Brown rounded out the team score by shooting 84 and 94, respectively. Wesley Weigel carded a 100.

Owls edge Panthers

SEYMOUR — Jennings County came up just short in a 170-172 loss to Seymour at Shadowood.

Austin Roscoe led the Panthers with a 40. Jake Simmons and Ian Donnell and Bailey Wilder all shot 44 and John Kelley had a 45.

Crusaders fall twice

Columbus Christian finished its season with a doubleheader loss, falling 16-1 and 20-2 in five innings to Dugger Union.

Savannah Spurgeon had an RBI triple in the first game for the Crusaders (1-7).
