Barbara Jean Wolka passed away at 7:55 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, at Hospice to be with Our Lord.
Barb was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Brown County, to parents Gilbert and Edna Priddy.
Barb’s career included working at Irwin Union Bank, Reliance Electric, First United Methodist and as Business Manager at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church until retiring.
Barb was an active sports fan playing softball and golf, with a true love for IU basketball. She also enjoyed boating, going to the beach, picnics at Picnic Point and traveling with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband, Ron Wolka; son, Randy (Pam) Broady,; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Lewis) Johnson; grandson, Adam Broady; great-grandson, Lewis Lee Johnson; brothers, Ralph (Kathy) Priddy and Robert (Judy) Priddy; and sister, Margaret (Harold) Hatter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Myers‐Reed Funeral Chapel and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, preceding the funeral service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Teike officiating. Interment will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
