Juanita Ross, 84, of Columbus, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of Jepth and Rose McCleery. She married Wilbur C. Ross and he preceded her in death May 28, 2005.
Juanita had worked as a housekeeper at Human Services. She was a member of Columbus Eagles Lodge and VFW Auxiliary and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by daughters, Betty Hill of Columbus and Vickie (Jamie) Pennington of Edinburgh; sons, Robert (Donna) Moore of Taylorsville, Rickie (Lisa) Ross of Columbus, Shane (Michelle) Ross of Columbus and Hector Ramirez of Columbus; and 46 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Nick Hill officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Daugherty Cemetery.
