Columbus-based Elwood Staffing has acquired White Staffing Management, a commercial staffing firm serving western Kentucky and Tennessee.
The acquisition includes four White Staffing Management branch offices in Bowling Green and Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Gallatin and LaVergne, Tennessee.
It is the sixth acquisition for Elwood Staffing in the past three years. The company will rebrand all the White Staffing officers under the Elwood Staffing name immediately, a company press release stated.
Launched as a consulting firm in 1980 by David L. Elwood, chairman of the board, the company expanded in 1985 to provide pre-employment testing. His three sons are involved in running the company: Mark S. Elwood, chief executive officer; John A. Elwood, president; and Michael D. Elwood, president of Elwood Professional.
Elwood Staffing, one of the 20 largest staffing companies in the nation, has more than 250 service locations, annual revenues of about $900 million and partners with more than 6,000 companies annually.
