State Fair queen making local stop

Tate Fritchley, Miss Indiana State Fair 2016, will talk about her duties as state fair queen and provide tips to Bartholomew County Fair Queen contestants June 21.

Fritchley, the 58th Miss Indiana State Fair, is from Vanderburgh County. She will meet with the local fair queen contestants at the Bartholomew County Fairgounds, 750 W. County Road 200S.

The winner of the Bartholomew County Fair Queen competition has the opportunity to compete for the state fair queen in January.

Fritchley is a 10-year 4-H member and a recent Evansville North High School graduate who plans to attend Butler University this fall. She is traveling throughout Indiana to visit more than 45 county fairs, festivals and queen pageants this summer.

This year’s Indiana State Fair is Aug. 5 to 21 in Indianapolis.
