Charles E. Caldwell, 84, of Columbus, passed from this life at 9:33 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Caldwell retired from Golden Foundry and was a member of Faith Chapel Church and Mill Race Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor David Bragg officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. to time of service.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Mr. Caldwell was born in Columbia, Kentucky, October 26, 1931. He was the son of Grover C. and Laura Blackburn Caldwell.
He married Frances N. Hamm on July 26, 1976.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years; children, Brenda Setser of Columbus, Penny Jo Estep of Columbus, Timothy Wayne Cirksena of Brownsburg, Beverly Ann Cirksena of Iowa, Amy Renee (Randy) Gay of Hope and Bobbi Elizabeth (Tim) Mourey of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and a daughter.
