Ruby Mae Losure, 80, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at 11:53 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Ruby was born in Floyd County, Indiana, July 17, 1935, to the late Hershel and Deltha McKim Young.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Willhite of Columbus; brother, James Young of Taylorsville; nieces, Sharon (Benny) Garrett of Frankfort and Sue (Eric) Wells of Glasgow, Kentucky; and her three cats or “furbabies” as she called them, Gabriel, Ember and Marley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Losure in 1991; brothers, Nelson, Earl and Elbert Young; and sister, Ruth Alt.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with David Christian officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
