Minnie Mae Dowd, 88, of Indianapolis, formerly of North Vernon, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat (Jason) Dowd Pitts of Phoenix and Betsy (Bob) Westfall of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Mary Jane Dowd of New York City; a brother, Thomas (Beth) Gosman of Vernon; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dowd Sr.; and a stepson, Thomas Dowd Jr.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption.
