East graduate notches two hits in South sweep

WHITING — Recent Columbus East graduate Takahiro Yamada helped the South to a three-game sweep of the North in this weekend’s Indiana North-South All-Star baseball series.

Yamada, a second baseman, went 1 for 2 with an RBI in Saturday’s opener, which the South won 7-6. In Saturday’s second game, he went 1 for 1 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 15-2 South victory.

On Sunday, Yamada went 0 for 2 in a 6-2 South victory.
