Elizabeth Wininger, 90, of Midway Street, died at 7:53 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Elizabeth was born July 18, 1925, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Gerald and Hazel Guynn Hall. She married Robert L. Wininger June 25, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She attended Elizabethtown School, graduated eighth grade at Azalia School and was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1943.

She had been employed at Franklin Ice Cream Store and was a Sunday school teacher at Columbus First Assembly of God. Elizabeth volunteered at Columbus Regional Hospital for many years and was awarded a pin for volunteering over 8,000 hours of service to the hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Glowacki officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus First Assembly of God Nursery Toddler Remodel through the funeral home.

Survivors include her sons, Robert E. (Debbie) Wininger, Rick A. (Connie) Wininger and David W. Wells; grandchildren, Jody Littrell, Shawn Wininger, Kevin Wininger, Chad Wininger, Ricky Wininger and Travis Wininger; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Littrell, Paige Littrell and BaileyJo Rogers-Wininger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Michael R. Wininger in 1972; brothers, William M. Hall, Ernest Hall, Charles Hall and Don Hall; and a sister, Marie Hall.
