White Lightening earn broomball wins
White Lightening won both of its games Tuesday on the opening night of Columbus Broomball Summer Session No. 2.
The Lightening beat Red Raiders 3-0. Kathryn McCarty scored two goals, and Dave Dickenson added one.
White Lightening then edged Blue Blazers 2-1 on two goals from Stephanie Pigneri. Matt Street scored for the Blazers.
In the other game, Blue Blazers edged Red Raiders 5-4. Street and Emily Rice each netted two goals, and Dane Bremer had one for the Blazers.
Scott Herron scored three goals, and Tom Kubat had the other for the Raiders.
