Regina Lynn Spoonamore, 61, of Westport, passed away unexpectedly at 10:41 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1955, in Greensburg, the daughter of Thomas N. and Evelyn D. (Christie) Spoonamore. She formerly lived in Richland and North Vernon and had been a resident of Westport since she was 7 years old.

Regina graduated from South Decatur High School in 1974 and worked at Vernco and Wheaton Tubing before retiring from Cosco after 19 years of service. A member of Westport Wesleyan Church, she was a Colts, Peyton Manning and Dolly Parton fan and enjoyed collecting football trading cards.

Survivors include her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Spoonamore of Westport; her nieces, Chasity Sue Davis, Ricki Leigh Bagwell, Shelby Lynn Dance and Addison Marie Dance, all of Westport; her nephews, Brandon Lee Bagwell of Land o’ Lakes, Florida, Jordan Thomas Neal and Brayden Andrew Neal, both of Westport.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Davis, and brothers, Ricky and Kevin Spoonamore; her grandparents, Nettie Christie Fargo, John H. Christie, the Rev. William T. and Helen Louise Spoonamore.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with the Rev. Glenn Black and the Rev. Paul Hornberger officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 27, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
