Alberta R. Hendrickson, 88, of Columbus, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Hendrickson was born in northern Indiana June 21, 1928, to the late Charles and Lelia Ault McKinney.
She married Max “Kenny” Hendrickson on July 1, 1949, in Columbus.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Sample of North Vernon, Alan Hendrickson and Becky Wagner, both of Columbus, Doug Hendrickson of Butlerville and Cheryl Hendrickson of Hope; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Boas of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Max Hendrickson, on April 23, 1994; a daughter, Janice Ann Nay; brothers, Ralph Lawless, Russell, Carl and Francis McKinney; and sisters, Elizabeth Perry and Martha Baker.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Roy Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, and from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
