Free adult education classes available
McDowell Education Center, 2700 McKinley Ave. in Columbus, is offering free morning, afternoon and evening adult education classes.
To enroll, students must attend an orientation to assess their academic levels and determine the best educational plan for them. Students younger than age 18 must have an exit interview from their previous high school or home school before they may attend.
Day orientations will be offered at the center in Unit B, Room 5 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. the following Wednesdays: Aug. 10, Aug. 24, Sept. 14 and Sept. 28.
Evening orientations will be offered at the center in Unit B, Room 5 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. the following Thursdays: Aug. 11, Aug. 25, Sept. 15 and Sept. 29.
Classes are taught at the center. Seating is limited and visiting McDowell’s website or calling to register is recommended.
