Alma Elizabeth Schwering, 96, of Westport, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, Kentucky.
Survivors include her daughters, Jan (Roy) Ervin of Edmondton, Kentucky, Margi (Roy) Reitman of Westport and Ruth (Don) Lucas of Columbus; her son, Raymond (Donna) Schwering of Westport; her brother, Carl Moorman of Millhousen; 17 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and son, Louis Schwering.
The funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Father William Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Denis Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. with visitation to follow from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the St. Denis Cemetery Fund.
