Collective Imagination, an exhibit featuring works from IndyArtWerkz, opens Aug. 19 at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit, which will run through Nov. 17, includes mixed media works by members of the IndyArtWerkz, a group of mixed media artists from central Indiana including Aline Chevalier of Columbus, Curly Tom Brown of Greenwood, Marie Henderson of Lafayette and Jennifer Jefferis, Cathy Williams and M. A. Rosenberg of Indianapolis. Admission is free.
The Art House in the Red Room Film Series continues 6 p.m. Aug. 23 with “Knife in the Water,” screened at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St. Kyle Willey will show this 1962 Polish film, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1963.
