Frankie Joe “Frank” Royse, 69, of Scottsburg, died Aug. 20, 2016, in Scottsburg. He was born Nov. 9, 1946, in Scottsburg, the son of Robert Joe and Geneva Nelson Royse.

Mr. Royse retired from Cummins Inc. in Columbus where he was a lab technician. He was a 1965 graduate of Salem High School and attended Ivy Tech. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Blocher.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Campbell Royse; a son, Richard Royse (Tammy) of Lexington; a daughter, Tammy Montgomery (Mike) of Scottsburg; grandchildren, Malachi, Angel, Lauren, Carson and Fargo; numerous nieces and nephews; his father, Joe Royse of Scottsburg; and sisters, Donna Swartz (Lowell) of Little York and Anita Hamilton (Terry) of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Royse.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home in Scottsburg, with Mike Wall officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Emmanuel Cemetery in Blocher.
