Bertha Louise Hehman, 88, of Columbus, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Kindred Health and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.
Bertha, a former resident of Jackson County, moved to Columbus, Indiana, in 1973. She worked at Hook’s Drug Store in Seymour, Seattle First National Bank in Wenatchee, Washington, and Aid Association for Lutherans of Appleton, Wisconsin, for eight years. She was also a nanny in her later years and a professional genealogist.
She was born in Brown County, Kansas, February 26, 1928, to the late Martin William Hehman Sr. and Sophia Anna Trimpe.
Survivors include several relatives living in Jackson County.
A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016, at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Galligar officiating.
