Robert Jay Jackson, 53, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation.
Jay was born July 1, 1963, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Robert Jesse and Beverly A. Brooks Jackson.
Jay and his family lived in Phoenix, Arizona, from 1978 to 1993. He loved to fish and he enjoyed listening to music.
Survivors include his parents, of Columbus; a son, Robert Otto Jackson of Columbus; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mildred Brooks and Otis and Beatrice Jackson.
In keeping with Jay’s wishes, cremation is planned. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
