The city of Columbus is asking motorists to avoid the area of Central Avenue from Second Street to 11th Street in the next two weeks as extensive road and paving work is planned.
Dave O’Mara Contractors will be milling and paving that section of roadway from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday this week, continuing Sept. 12 and 13.
No work will occur before 8 a.m. north of Seventh Street. The road work will begin at the south end of the job, near Second Street, and move north, city officials said.
