North grad names MAC Co-Golfer of the Week
Ball State’s Sydney Anderson has been named Mid-American Conference Co-Golfer of the Week for her performance in last week’s Illinois State Redbird Invitational.
Anderson fired a career-best 69 on Sunday to finish with a 54-hole career best 218 and tie four fourth individually at Weibring Golf Club. The final-round 69 matched the second-best score in program history.
Anderson shared Golfer of the Week honors with three players who also tied for fourth at the Redbird Invitational — Kelly Anderson and Brielle Ward of Northern Illinois and Hailey Hrynewich of Ohio.
Cougars sweep Spartans
GREENSBURG — South Decatur posted a 25-22, 25-19, 25-23 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Southwestern (Shelby) on Thursday night.
Zoey Nobbe led the Cougars with eight kills and 26 digs. Brooke Helms recorded eight assists, and Delanie Diekhoff served eight aces.
