A local woman was arrested on drug-related charges after a vehicle she was riding in was stopped for not having working tail lights.
Columbus Police Officer Wesley Dodge stopped the vehicle near Seventh Street and Central Avenue just before 10 p.m. Sunday and spoke with the driver and his passenger, Angela M. Pugh, 37, 1831 Eighth St., said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Dodge said Pugh was acting suspiciously and asked for a police canine who indicated there was an odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle, Harris said.
Officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside a bag that Pugh had with her in the vehicle, Harris said.
Pugh was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug smoking device and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $67,500 bond, jail officials said.
