Film screening, discussion at Columbus Learning Center

A free screening of the movie “The Color of Fear,” a dialogue about the state of race relations in America as seen through the eyes of eight men, will be shown Oct. 7 at the Columbus Learning Center lecture hall auditorium, 4555 Central Ave.

The subjects in the film by Lee Mun Wah are eight North American men — two African Americans, two Latinos, two Asian Americans and two Caucasians.

The film — which includes moments of profanity during intense dialog — will be followed by an open discussion led by members of Black Lives Matter and SURJ. The audience is invited to participate in the discussion, organizer Brittany King said.

The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and includes light refreshments.
