Edinburgh woman arrested after Carson’s reports theft

Columbus police arrested an Edinburgh woman on theft and drug-related charges after she was accused of stealing items from Carson’s and other businesses near FairOaks Mall.

Samantha Sampson, 23, 904 Roosevelt Ave., Edinburgh, was arrested on charges of theft, possession of a syringe, possession of a legend drug and possession of paraphernalia after police were called to Carson’s at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday, said officer Justin Black, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

When they found Sampson in the 2100 block of 25th Street, police said they determined she had a syringe and medication which she had no valid prescription to possess.
