Expo opens today; special services Saturday

The 33rd annual Ethnic Expo’s two-day run of fun is 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Saturday.

More than 30 international food booths will be open for hungry patrons.

On Saturday, Healthy Communities and the Columbus Bike Co-op will provide a free valet bicycle parking corral for this year’s Ethnic Expo. It will be at the main entrance to the Expo at Second and Washington streets on the lawn of The Republic newspaper building, 333 Second St.

The corral will be staffed so bikes will be secure. Last year, nearly 100 people biked to the Expo.

In addition, the Healthy Communities Breastfeeding Coalition will provide a private and comfortable place to feed babies at Ethnic Expo. This space will be a comfortable place to sit and feed babies adjacent to the valet bike parking facilities. Breastfeeding resources will also be available.

Admission is free for Ethnic Expo, which is conducted rain or shine.
