After a brief illness, Eloise M. Cure, 93, died on Sunday, October 9, in Columbus.

The wife of the late Charles Cure, M.D., she is survived by children, Karen Cure and Eric (Cathie) Cure, M.D.. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Darien Vickery) Cure, Wesley (Andrea) Cure, Addy (Jeremy) Earles, Sara Fradkin and Hensley Fradkin; and by great-granddaughters, Amelia Earles and Mahley Cure.

Her grandson, Jesse Cure preceded her in death.

The only child of Oftie Greer and Esther (Hill) Greer, she was born in Martinsville and graduated from Indiana University in 1945, where she pledged to Delta Gamma. Over her lifetime, she was a devoted friend to many. She loved her family, her dogs and duplicate bridge, achieving Silver Life Master in July 2000. She had an instinct for cards and an eye for beauty. She dressed exquisitely at all times.

She read Columbus’ The Republic , the Indianapolis Star and the Wall Street Journal daily. She was avid in her interests and opinions until the end. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016, at Costin Funeral Chapel, located at 539 E. Washington St. in Martinsville, with viewing beginning at 10 a.m.
