I-65 lane restrictions begin Sunday for concrete patchings

The Indiana Department of Transportation will close segments of southbound Interstate 65’s right lane next week between the Walesboro exit south of Columbus and Seymour for concrete patching.

Closings will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday at mile marker 65, about three miles south of Columbus.

The intermittant lane closings will continue until noon Thursday. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays during peak travel periods.

Reith Riley is the state’s contractor for the $1.2 million project, which is to be completed by Nov. 30.
