Paver work to shift traffic on 3rd Street

Work to repair pavers along Third Street will shift to the south lane on Tuesday, as long as weather cooperates.

Decorative Paving Co. is removing bricks, installing stone and returning the pavers to the city’s streetscape in the Third Street downtown intersection. All paving work should be completed by Oct. 21. Paver work on Fourth Street has been completed.

In addition to the pavers, Electro Painting is repainting signal poles and pedestrian pedestals Monday and Tuesday in the south lane of Second Street at Washington Street.

The crews have signs and detours for motorists with lane arrows to direct traffic, but the city also requests motorists are careful around the sites to protect workers.
