Columbus writer Tim Orr will speak on “What God is Doing in the Muslim World” at the monthly meeting of the South Central Indiana Christian Men’s Fellowship Tuesday at Hartsville Church of Christ, 160 N. Washington St.
A chili supper is served at 6:30 p.m., and the program begins at 7:15 p.m. Orr recently released his second book, “Islam Rising: How the Christian College Can Prepare the Next Generation.”
Orr has consistently spoken out about the importance of Christians building healthy relationships with Muslims. He has done that with members of the Islamic Society of Columbus Indiana.
Orr is a religious studies adjunct faculty member at IUPUC, where his classes sometimes have included Muslim speakers.
Though the fellowship generally consists of men within the area churches under the specific Church of Christ or literal Christian denomination (as in First Christian Church), organizers welcome visitors.
