Hope woman revived after overdosing while caring for toddler

HOPE, Ind. —  A mother was revived after a suspected heroin overdose over the weekend with her toddler son sitting next to her in a parked vehicle.

Erika P. Hurt, 25, 446 High St., Hope, was arrested on charges of neglect of a dependent and possession of paraphernalia.

After driving to a Hope business, Hurt sat inside the vehicle with her 10-month-old son, said Matt Tallent, Hope town marshal.
