Columbus police arrested four adults and nine juveniles, one as young as 14-years-old, for illegal consumption of alcohol after receiving a report of a disturbance in the 3700 block of West Suburban Court. After arriving at 10:15 p.m. Friday, officers said they found several people younger than 21 in a garage at the residence and located several other juveniles in the basement. Officers arrested the following individuals for illegal consumption of alcohol:
- Benito Araujo, 18, Seymour
- Sarah Patrick, 18, Columbus
- Elizabeth A. Ortega, 18, Columbus
- Kennedy TL Staggs, 18, Columbus
Nine juveniles between the ages of 14 and 17 were taken to the Bartholomew County Detention Center on charges of illegal consumption.
