Phyllis Claire Wentworth Handley, 83, of Bankston, Alabama, formerly of Seymour, died at 8:37 p.m. November 8, 2016, at Our Hospice of Southern Indiana in Columbus.
Survivors include her children, Daniel W. Wentworth of Bankston, Alabama, Kathy (Robert) Luthe of Hayden, Debra (Chester “Sonny”) Spurgeon of Seymour, Angela Slay of San Diego, California, and Kenny (Roberta) Wentworth of Hope; five step-children, James Handley, Ann (Donnie) England, Donna Schlosser, Patsy (Bob Winch) Handley and Crystal Handley; brother, Joe McNeal; step-sisters, Barbara (Paul) Wellington and Norma Irvine; 53 grandchildren; and numerous adopted children.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husbands William Wentworth and James Handley; and daughter, Shirley Shipley.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
