Seymour
Ronald W. Fisher, 80, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
He was born June 20, 1936, in East Enterprise, Indiana, the son of Louie and Kathryn (Crouch) Fisher.
He married Joan Hatfield on November 28, 1959, in Rising Sun, Indiana. She preceded him in death May 14, 2010.
Ronald was a member of the Tabernacle. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1987 and Precise Mold in 2005. He enjoyed walking and going to Dairy Queen. He could remember every joke he ever heard and had a way of recalling them at the absolutely perfect times.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy and Shawna (Greg Cook) Fisher; a brother, Bill (Donna) Fisher; a nephew, Bill (Vanessa) Fisher; and a niece, LaDessia (Darren) Thayer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joan.
Funeral service will be held at the Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour, Indiana, on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Larry Arrowood, the Rev. Randy Easton and the Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends and family may gather at the Tabernacle on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday after 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
