Remebrance event has student panel

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, 4555 Central Ave., will host a discussion titled “Living his Dream: Activism and Advocacy Through Education” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the Columbus Learning Center to honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The event will feature a panel of IUPUC students who are “living the dream” and making strides toward changing their lives and the lives of their family, the school said. Students will answer a series of predetermined questions and answer questions from the audience. The event also will include the presentation of the IUPUC Diversity Awards.

The addition of a student panel and the event’s name are changes from previously announced details.
