Little Seeds preschool registration scheduled

Little Seeds Preschool at Community Church of Columbus, 3850 N. Marr Road, will have fall 2017 enrollment for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday in the library for church members.

Enrollment for non-church members is 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the library.

St. Paul preschool registration to open

Registration for 3- and 4-year-old preschool and kindergarten classes at St. Paul Lutheran Church for the 2017-18 academic year will begin Jan. 23 at the church, 6045 E. State St., Columbus.

Students must be the age of the stated class by Aug. 1.

Classes for both ages will meet from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m., with 3-year-olds meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays and 4-year-olds meeting Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Half-day kindergarten classes will be 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

The classes are accredited through the National Lutheran School Accreditation and teachers have degrees. Extended care is also offered for enrolled students.

C4 career center to conduct open house

C4 Columbus Area Career Connection will host an open house to introduce its programs and courses to potential students and their families from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the C4 facilities at Columbus North High School, 1400 25th St. Visitors should enter at Door 12, closest to 25th Street.

If Bartholomew Consolidated Schools have a two-hour delay that day, the open house will go on as scheduled. If school is canceled, the snow date is Feb. 1.

C4 Columbus Area Career Connection provides career and technical education to students in Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson and Decatur counties and Edinburgh. Emphasis is placed on hands-on learning to prepare students for higher education and the workforce. College credits can be earned in many of the classes.

C4 students will lead tours of the facilities at North, taking visitors to classrooms and labs. Displays from classes will showcase classes at Columbus East and McDowell Education Center.

Light refreshments will be served and attendees may enter to win door prizes.
