Mary Alice Combs, 83, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away January 18, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. She was born March 9, 1933, in Sullivan, Indiana. She was the daughter of Nelson and Cecilia (Sluder) Flynn. She married Joel M. Combs on February 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2000.
She is survived by sons, Vincent (Teresa) Scott of Terre Haute, Indiana and Ernie (Jane) Scott of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughters, Cindy Babb of Edinburgh, Indiana and Jodie (Junior) Smith of Edinburgh, Indiana; step-sons, Jim Combs of Illinois and Eddie (Ruth) Combs of Illinois; a step-daughter, Marcia (Larry) Stout of Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, James Flynn of California; and a sister, Lillis Orr of Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was preceded her in death by her husband; parents; a son, Rodger Combs; and a brother, Bill Flynn.
She was a member of the Edinburgh Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, riding motorcycles, camping, reading and being a snowbird.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from noon until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
