Flag Football registration will be at FairOaks Mall

Columbus Youth Flag Football registration will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 14 and 16 and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 18 at FairOaks Mall.

Cost is $100 per player.

Players can sign up for Scipio Baseball

Scipio Baseball signups will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 19 at the Scipio Firehouse for boys and girls ages 4 and older.

Registration is $20 for the first player in a household and $15 for each additional player in the same household. Age ranges will be divided as signup numbers allow.

Meeting set for East boys spring basketball program

There will be an informational callout meeting for any sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade boys interested in the Columbus East boys spring basketball program at 1 p.m. Feb. 12 in Room C103 of East High School.

North softball coach forming travel team

New Columbus North softball coach Ron McDonald is putting together a team of middle school girls who are planning to play at North in high school.

Zeller Family Program coming to Whiteland

Clark Pleasant Middle School in Whiteland will host DistinXion, a Zeller Family Program, on March 18 and 19.

The basketball camp is for boys and girls of all skill levels entering Grades 2 to 8. Registration is $69 before March 1 and $89 beginning March 1.

Parkside will host Emerge 19: Aftermath

Emerge 19: Aftermath will be at 7 p.m. March 4 at Parkside Elementary. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Association offering program for officials

The Indiana Officials Association is offering a program for individuals interested in officiating high school and youth football.

Applicants will need to register and pay a fee by June 7.

The fee includes IOA membership, materials and instruction. Officials must also join the IHSAA and pay the licensing fee and will receive rule books and other materials.

There will be rules and mechanics study from 6 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday in June and on July 12 and 19 at Lawrence North High School.
