Elks Lodge sets new record

Columbus Elks Lodge 521 has set a new record for its 2016 Children’s Fund Program.

Each year, the lodge provides Christmas gifts to Bartholomew County residents who need help with buying gifts for their children. In 2016, the fund provided gifts for 97 children at a cost of $12,125. This exceeded the 2015 record of 73 children at a cost of $9,125.

The program is possible through the charitable giving of Elks Lodge 521 members as well as a $2,000 grant from the Elks National Foundation and the volunteer shoppers who assisted.
