Chloa Leota Hornsby, 70, of North Vernon, died at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at her home.

Surviving along with her husband, Russell Hornsby II, are four sons, Floyd Wayne Johnson Jr. and Dale Lynn Johnson, both of North Vernon, Lamar (Elizabeth) Hornsby of Lousia, Virginia and Kenny Hornsby of Tampa, Florida; three daughters, Gail (John) Kuntz of North Vernon, Pamela (Richard) Burks of Blackstone, Virginia and Amie Didomizio of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Arnold John (Kay) Dunham Jr. of Madison and Larry Ray (Ann) and Alan Dale (Donna) Dunham Sr., both of North Vernon; one sister, Katie Kay Shelton of Scottsburg; 31 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Russell Hornsby III.

The funeral for Mrs. Hornsby will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Kent Stroud officiating. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Burial will be at the Pisgah Cemetery.
