The Indianapolis Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen will have a special presentation at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Indiana War Memorial in Indianapolis to celebrate the airmen’s legacy.
In 2016, a stretch of Interstate 65 through Bartholomew County was named in the Tuskegee Airmen’s honor, which will be celebrated at the event.
A new exhibit about the airmen’s “Indiana Legacy” will open at the celebration and remain on display at the memorial, 431 N. Meridian St. in Indianapolis, through Feb. 28.
The event is free and handicap accessible.
