James Relos

James E. Relos was born February 15, 1928, and passed on February 16, 2017, two hours after his 89th birthday. He was in the loving presence of his daughter Robin L. Marshall at Suncoast Hospice Care, Clearwater, Florida.

Jim was born to Beatrice E. (Eldridge) Relos and Peter D. Relos in Chicago, Illinois. Both have preceded him in death. Jim was also preceded in death by a brother, William D. Relos and sister-in-law, Catherine Relos; a nephew, Robert Relos; niece, Donna (Relos) Noble; and great-nephew, Thomas Relos.

Survivors are his daughter, Robin L. (Relos) Marshall, Seymour; granddaughter, Brooke Marshall, South Bend; grandson, Adam W. Marshall, Elkhart; and two great-granddaughters; daughter, Rebecca L. (Relos) Kilbourn, South Bend; granddaughter, Heidi (Steve) Goerke; grandsons, Shad Jeffrey, Drew (Amanda) Jeffrey, Alex Balderas and Aaron Balderas, all of South Bend; and an additional seven great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by a brother, Robert Relos, Walkerton; brother, Michael (Joyce) Relos, Plymouth; and numerous nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Jim lived in Chicago, Illinois; Plymouth and Bremen, Indiana; and St. Petersburg, Florida. He worked as a lineman and retired from A.M. General, Mishawaka, Indiana, before moving to Florida.

Jim proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed garage sales, traveling, dancing and the beach. Jim was a previous dance instructor for Arthur Murray.
