Lois M. Perry, 88, of Columbus, formerly of Clearwater, Florida, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017.

She was born on March 24, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Lonzo C. Meadows and Myrtle D. Dimmett Barrett.

Ms. Perry retired from Cummins Engine Company. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Elizabethtown and the Red Hat Society in Clearwater, Florida.

The funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m Thursday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. F. Doran Chambers officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Springer Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or the American Kidney Foundation.

She is survived by her children, Joyce (Bob) Taylor of Franklin, Karen (Mark) Crider of Columbus, Anita (Darrell) Woodard of Columbus and Bryan Perry of Columbus; brother, Paul (Diana) Barrett of Elizabethtown; sister, Geneva Collins of Crown Pointe; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren with one due in April.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cecil Woodrow Meadows; and two great-grandsons, Jameasyn Crider and Johnathon Crider.
