Margaret C. McCullough, 92, of Westport, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1924, in Westport, the daughter of William Stanley and Clara Pearl (Davis) Maddux. Margaret lived most of her life in Westport. She has also lived in Trafalgar, Medora, Versailles and Frankfort. She was a 1942 graduate of Westport High School and graduated from Frankfort Pilgrim College in 1944. She was a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church and enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She married the Rev. Nelson McCullough on Aug. 8, 1952, in Westport and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1973. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Ann McCullough of Westport; her son, Wesley (Carol) McCullough of Westport; her sisters, Lois Holzhause, Bonnie (Ted) Sims, Rosemary Maddux, all of Westport, Harriett (Fred) Cruser and Barbara Faidley, both of Indianapolis and Rachel Brophy of Muncie; her brother, David (Deborah) Maddux of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Robert D. and Joseph Maddux. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at the Westport Wesleyan Church. Burial will be at the Westport Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research, the Westport Wesleyan Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
